Jayden Harberts won her second race in less than a week and Fraser turned in a dominant performance as the Macomb Area Conference held cross country jamborees at Stony Creek Metropark on Tuesday.
Harberts, a senior from Dakota who has won three Macomb County championships, ran the Baypoint Beach course in 18:56.3 to win the Red Division girls race. On Saturday, Harberts won the Algonac Classic at Eastwood Beach in 18:26.8.
Harberts and Mariah Belmont gave Dakota a 1-2 finish. A senior, Belmont finished in 19:50.8. Utica freshman Emma Brown was third in 20:03.6.
Runners 4-6 were from Romeo. Violet Hrabovsky, 20:08.3; Natalia Guaresimo, 20:08.5, and Emmerson Clor, 20:08.6, helped the Bulldogs score a meet-low 40 points. Olivia Purdy, ninth in 20:29.2, and Gracie Youngblood, 16th in 21:30.6, also scored for Romeo, which was ranked No. 2 in Division 1 in the first MichiganCrossCountry.com poll of the season.
Lauren Thomas, Anchor Bay, 20:11.7; Siene Muraszewski, Utica, 20:15.3, and Morgan Deenik, Grosse Pointe South, 20:42.6 completed the top 10.
Other team scores in the only scheduled Red jamboree were Dakota 55, Utica 56, Grosse Pointe South 88, St. Clair 126, Grosse Pointe North 154, Anchor Bay 213 and Eisenhower 218.
In the Red Division boys jamboree, senior Thomas Westphal of Anchor Bay won the individual race in 15:51.8. Senior Vincent Guaresimo of fifth-ranked Romeo was second in 16:04 and senior Carter Fox of 11th-ranked Dakota third in 16:06.6. Dakota finished first in team scoring with 51 points, five fewer than Romeo.
Senior Simon Davis, sixth in 16:35.3; junior Colton Howell, eighth in 16:51.1; junior Lucas LaMilza, 11th in 16:55.0, and junior Noah Redman, 23rd in 17:23.6, also scored for Dakota.
Utica’s Harper Wesley took fourth in 16:07. Ethan Muraszewski, Utica, 16:39.3; Luke Morehouse, Utica, 16:53.8, and David Rochon, Grosse Pointe North, 16:54.8, completed the top 10.
